Position: Sanitation & Maintenance Lead
Hours: Part Time
Reports To: Plant Manager
Job Summary
This position is responsible for executing, overseeing, and documenting essential sanitation relating to food sanitation, routine janitorial cleaning, light maintenance tasks and preventative maintenance of sanitation and building equipment to maintain a safe and high-quality environment for production. This involves knowledge of production, equipment, and sanitation techniques to ensure that equipment and cleaning equipment is clean, safe and sanitized for production. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility
Roles/Responsibilities:
General Sanitation
· Ability to disassemble, clean, sanitize and reassemble select equipment as needed
· Ensure all floors, hoods, and select equipment are cleaned and sanitized daily to an acceptable level
· Execute necessary sanitation verification testing/swabbing and resulting documentation
· Perform basic housekeeping, including cleaning floors, walls, ceilings, air vents, lights, and other tasks as called out on the Master Sanitation Schedule
· Ensure daily adherence and documenting of the Master Sanitation Schedule, and other necessary paperwork and data recording relating to Sanitation and Food Safety
· Comply with all company policies, rules & regulations regarding safety, GMP, operational methods and food safety guidelines
· Must report any food safety issues, discrepancies, suggestions and/or complaints to the Plant Manager immediately
· Execute weekly walk through for sanitation projects:
o Assess facility needs for food safety
o Provide work order requests for documentation
· Oversee sanitation consumables inventory through shared leadership initiatives
· Manage the inventory of all chemicals and pertinent cleaning supplies
· Ensure a strong relationship with any/all chemical and cleaning supply suppliers
· Be willing and able to work in any area of the facility (inside and outside) as directed by the Plant Manager
Maintenance Specific Responsibilities
· Ensure select equipment is always in the most Safe and Food Safe condition as possible
Safety and Food Safety Responsibilities
· Ensure GMP’s are being always followed
· Ensure the department appropriately always maintained
· Ensure foreign material and cross contamination elements of the area are properly managed
· Ensure all appropriate OSHA & GMP verification, validations and calibrations are properly filled out at the appropriate frequencies – including daily, weekly, monthly and bi annual items
· Ensure all department paperwork is turned into appropriate Management/Leadership
· Ensure any/all non-conformances are addressed immediately and appropriately
· Report any personal or employee issues and non-conformances to the appropriate leadership immediately

Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
