WHAT WE DO

Instrumentum is an innovative provider of off-site surgical instrument sterilization, transportation, storage, and loaner tray logistics, serving health systems and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). With the recent acquisitions of early market movers in this space, we are growing a national footprint with a mission to disrupt a traditionally fragmented and under digitized sterile processing industry. We are scaling rapidly to address the rising demand for elective surgeries and streamlined sterile processing services.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

Sterilization Processing Departments (SPDs) are one of the most important and yet most overlooked areas of a hospital or surgery center. This is a critical and growing problem as staffing shortages, poorly maintained facilities, and failure to adhere to the standards required to ensure patient and staff safety are increasing costs and potentially putting lives at risk. Even though sterilization is central to providing surgeries, it is often an afterthought for most facilities. The people who work in the SPD know it, and the deteriorating morale of the SPD workforce is adding to the decrease in sterilization competency.

Instrument Processing Mastery:

Transform used medical instruments from potential hazards to paragons of sterility.
Master the technology and protocols that banish contaminants, ensuring every piece is treated with the utmost care.

Assembly and Packaging Artistry:

Assemble and package instrument sets with the precision of a craftsman, ensuring every tool's readiness for life-saving procedures.

Quality Control Vigilance:

Be the guardian of safety, conducting meticulous checks that ensure only the highest standards of sterilization are met.

Inventory Management Acumen:

Keep a keen eye on our arsenal of instruments, ensuring every item is accounted for, pristine, and ready at a moment's notice.

Documentation Diligence:

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE

High school diploma or equivalent. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (e.g., CRCST, CIS, or similar) is preferred.
Experience in the trenches of sterile processing, with a year's proof of your commitment to the field.
A sharp eye for detail and a steady hand, capable of working effectively under pressure.
Communication prowess and teamwork spirit, because here, every voice matters and every role is pivotal.

DETAILS

This is an on-site position at our Modesto, California facility. We are building other facilities and working with various partners, so occasional travel would be necessary to share best practices and meet with vendors and partners.

You will need to fully co-operate with and adhere to all company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, communicating suggestions for improvement to anyone who will listen.

The pay range for this role is:
