Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a home or facility setting. This role requires a blend of practical skills and emotional intelligence, as caregivers often become trusted companions for those they serve.

Duties

Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Assist with mobility and physical tasks, including lifting and transferring clients as needed.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the social well-being of clients.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
Document care provided and report any changes in client condition or behavior to appropriate personnel.
Uphold resident rights and dignity while respecting individual preferences and choices.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function, especially for those in memory care or long-term care settings.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Qualifications

Experience in direct support roles, home health care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response procedures is required.
Familiarity with resident rights and long-term care standards is an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds safely while assisting clients.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
Certification in CPR or first aid is required at the time of hire.
