Full Job Description

ES Solar is looking for a Payroll Processor in Utah, recognized by Forbes magazine for our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Processor to join our team at ES Solar. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely compensation for our employees — including calculating variable sales commissions and verifying high-volume payroll line items. Your contributions will be vital in supporting our mission of delivering 100% customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
Calculate sales commissions across multiple commission structures, ensuring accurate application of tiered rates, bonuses, and adjustments.
Verify and reconcile payroll runs of 500+ line items per cycle, catching discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
Maintain employee records related to payroll and benefits.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues as they arise.
Prepare reports related to payroll metrics, commission payouts, and audit findings for management review.
Collaborate with HR and Sales leadership to ensure accurate employee and commission data management.

Requirements

Bachelor's in Accouting, Finance, or Business Administration or relevant work experience.
Work history with payroll management/processing.
Experience calculating sales commissions or variable compensation (multiple commission plans/structures a plus).
Demonstrated ability to audit and verify large volumes of payroll data (500+ line items) with a high degree of accuracy.
Experience with Excel (formulas, input management, and data imports); comfort with large datasets required.
Familiarity with payroll liability and tax law.
Experience with HRIS systems.
Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
Knowledge of Quickbase or ADP is a plus but not required.
