Full Job Description

Apparel Designer

AGA Nature is a premium fashion and lifestyle brand focused on refined products, elevated materials, and thoughtful product development. Our aesthetic is understated, balanced, and quietly sophisticated rather than trend-driven or overly decorative. We value material sensitivity, product refinement, and a clear, disciplined design point of view.

We are looking for an Apparel Designer who can support product design and development with strong product sense, material understanding, and practical execution. This role requires someone who can develop products in alignment with the brand direction and work closely with the founder, production team, and sample development process.

This is not a purely conceptual role. The right candidate should be able to translate ideas and feedback into clear product decisions, support sample development, and help refine products through multiple revisions. The ideal candidate should also understand how fabric, texture, drape, weight, and finish affect silhouette, proportion, and the overall tone of a product.

Key Responsibilities

Develop apparel styles in line with the brand’s design direction
Create flats, sketches, and design development materials
Prepare and organize design information for sample development
Select and propose fabrics, trims, colors, and design details appropriate for each style
Review sample garments and identify needed revisions in silhouette, detail, proportion, fit, finish, or material use
Revise styles based on founder feedback and sample review results
Work closely with the production team to ensure design intent is clearly communicated and properly executed
Organize design files, reference images, development notes, and revision comments
Help maintain consistency across product categories, design details, and overall brand presentation
Participate in product refinement from initial concept through sample stage

Qualifications

Professional experience in apparel design and product development
Strong ability to create and revise flats and design development materials
Strong understanding of fabric, texture, drape, weight, and finish
Ability to evaluate how fabric choice affects silhouette, design outcome, and product quality
Experience reviewing samples and making design revisions based on actual product results
Understanding of garment construction, fit, and development process
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and related design tools
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple styles and revisions at once
Comfortable collaborating closely with founder and internal team
Experience in fashion/apparel industry required
Korean language ability is a plus

Preferred

Experience in women’s apparel or premium product categories
Experience working with material-driven product development
Ability to identify whether a sample issue comes from design, proportion, construction, or material choice
Comfortable working in a founder-led brand environment

Compensation
$72,000 – $95,000 per year, depending on experience and fit.

Pay: $72,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
