Position Summary
We are hiring in our Riverside and Rancho Cucamonga locations! The Escrow Assistant role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with an excellent demeanor, superb organizational and communication skills to play a vital role in the Escrow transaction process. Under the supervision of the escrow officer, the successful candidate will contribute to the success of the escrow team by providing efficient and reliable support with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
· Assist the escrow officer in opening and closing escrow transactions
· Prepare and distribute escrow instructions, amendments, transfer deeds, and other relevant documents
· Coordinate communication between all parties involved in transaction
· Provide updates to all parties on status of escrow transaction
· Review contracts and other legal documents to ensure compliance with escrow requirements
· Audits preliminary title report, communicates with the title company and gathers prerequisites to meet title requirements.
. Ocassionaly float between our Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, Corona and Chino locations to help when volumes are high or offices are short staffed.
· Reviews and processes lender requests for pre doc stage
· Familiar with balancing a CD and preparing documents for signing
· Package loan documents, execute funding conditions and can balance to funding figures
· Coordinate the signing and notarization of documents
· Process and track incoming funds, including earnest money deposits and loan proceeds
· Prepare checks for disbursements of funds in accordance with escrow instructions
· Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements through the escrow process
· Other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 3-5 years experience as an Escrow Assistant required
· Friendly and professional demeanor
· Knowledge of real estate contracts, escrow procedures, and relevant laws and regulations required
· RBJ or Evolution experience preferred
· Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software
· Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
· Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
· Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,760.00 - $49,920.00 per year
