Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by regularly sanitising tools and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and aftercare.
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during grooming sessions.
- Assist in lifting larger pets as necessary, demonstrating strength and proper handling techniques.
- Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to provide the best service possible.
Requirements
- Proven experience in animal care or veterinary settings is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Previous grooming experience or relevant qualifications would be an advantage but not essential as training may be provided for the right candidate.
