Job Overview

Duties

Review and verify loan application documents to ensure completeness and accuracy in accordance with industry regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines
Coordinate with loan officers, clients, and underwriters to gather necessary information and clarify details for loan processing
Prepare and process loan files using advanced financial software and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel data analysis for risk assessment and credit evaluation
Ensure all mortgage services adhere to banking regulatory compliance standards while maintaining confidentiality of client information
Conduct detailed lending analysis, including commercial lending expertise when applicable, to assess borrower eligibility and financial stability
Manage loan servicing tasks such as tracking documentation progress, updating client records, and ensuring timely communication throughout the process
Lead team efforts by providing guidance on loan processing procedures, fostering collaboration to meet deadlines efficiently

Qualifications

Proven experience in loan origination or mortgage processing within the financial services or banking industry
Strong knowledge of mortgage services, commercial lending, and industry regulations including TILA and FNMA standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting; familiarity with financial software is preferred
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
Demonstrated understanding of banking regulatory compliance, financial sales techniques, and legal contracts related to lending
Basic math skills complemented by 10-key typing proficiency for accurate data entry and calculations
Experience in loan officer roles or commercial banking expertise is highly desirable; industry knowledge of financial regulations is essential
Ability to analyze complex financial data related to risk assessment and creditworthiness effectively
