Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendant to provide in-home assistance and support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities and companionship. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a home or assisted living environment. We serve Anaheim, Fullerton, Chino, Corona and its surrounding areas in Riverside and North Orange counties. Our office is based in Corona. This is a part-time position with the possibility of full-time shifts as the program grows.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social well-being.
Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
Assist with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health regimens.
Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring as necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.

Skills

Previous experience as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) or similar role
Experience or knowledge in social work, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
Proficient in meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to client needs.
Ability to work effectively with individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding.
Strong lifting skills to assist clients safely as needed.
Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients and their families.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
