Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and strategic District Manager to oversee multiple sports-focused afterschool program sites centered on youth development, mentorship, and seasonal intramural athletics. This leadership role is responsible for supervising Site Supervisors, building strong partnerships with school districts, ensuring program quality and compliance, and supporting the successful operation of all assigned locations.

The District Manager serves as the primary liaison between Turlock Sports Park and school district personnel, providing leadership, accountability, and operational support while fostering a positive culture for staff, students, and community partners.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations and overall success of multiple afterschool program sites.
Directly supervise, mentor, and support Site Supervisors to ensure consistent program quality and leadership.
Serve as the primary point of contact between Turlock Sports Park and school district administrators, principals, and site personnel.
Build and maintain positive professional relationships with school districts, community partners, and stakeholders.
Conduct regular site visits to evaluate program quality, staff performance, safety, and compliance with organizational standards.
Support the hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of Site Supervisors and program staff.
Ensure all sites maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, program documentation, and compliance requirements.
Oversee seasonal sports programming, special events, tournaments, and district-wide activities.
Collaborate with leadership to develop program improvements, implement new initiatives, and achieve organizational goals.
Monitor staffing levels and assist with site assignments, scheduling, and coverage as needed.
Ensure all program policies, safety procedures, and district expectations are consistently followed across all assigned locations.

Requirements

Leadership experience supervising staff, preferably within youth programs, education, recreation, or afterschool settings.
Strong leadership, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience managing multiple locations, teams, or programs simultaneously.
Knowledge of youth development, behavior management, and program operations.
Background in sports programming, coaching, physical education, or recreational athletics is highly preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online management systems.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between multiple program locations.
