Full Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Technician with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in residential and/or commercial HVAC systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to run full installs and service work independently while leading a team.

Responsibilities:

Lead HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair projects
Install full systems start-to-finish (furnace, AC, heat pump, air handler) without supervision
Braze properly with nitrogen, pressure test, evacuate, and charge using superheat/subcooling
Understand and manage airflow (duct sizing, static pressure, proper returns)
Read wiring diagrams and handle line and low voltage safely and cleanly
Follow all code requirements (gas, venting, electrical, condensate, clearances)
Plan and run jobs efficiently (materials, layout, timing, minimizing delays)
Supervise, lead, and direct helpers/apprentices effectively
Troubleshoot and adapt to jobsite issues without constant supervision
Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners
Perform final system checks (airflow, charge, thermostat setup, overall quality) to prevent callbacks
Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
Order and manage materials and equipment as needed

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience
EPA Certification (required)
Proven ability to complete full system installs independently
Strong understanding of airflow, duct design, and system performance
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
