About Us

E4 Control Systems specializes in low voltage solutions for commercial and industrial customers throughout Southern California. Our team installs and services security cameras, access control, structured cabling, audio/video systems, and other integrated technologies. Position Summary

The Low Voltage Technician I is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are eager to build a career in the low voltage industry. Working under the direction of experienced technicians, you will assist with the installation of structured cabling, security cameras, televisions, access control systems, and other low voltage equipment. This role requires a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist Lead Technicians with the installation of low voltage systems.
Pull, route, secure, and label Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
Assist with cable termination under supervision.
Mount televisions, security cameras, speakers, monitors, and other equipment.
Assemble and install equipment racks, brackets, and hardware.
Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
Prepare work areas and maintain a clean and organized job site.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely.
Follow installation drawings, work orders, and supervisor instructions.
Test installed cabling and equipment under the guidance of senior technicians.
Assist with troubleshooting basic installation issues.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Provide professional customer service while working at customer locations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
0–2 years of construction, warehouse, low voltage, electrical, or related experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
Ability to work on ladders and lifts.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to travel to various job sites throughout Southern California.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in construction, electrical, telecommunications, or low voltage work.
Basic understanding of Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
Experience using drills, impact drivers, fish tape, or similar tools.
OSHA 10 certification (preferred but not required).
Scissor lift or boom lift experience (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements

Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and walk for extended periods.
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms.
Travel daily to customer job sites.

Growth Opportunity

This position is intended to develop future Level II Technicians. Employees who consistently demonstrate strong performance, technical growth, reliability, and the ability to work independently may be considered for advancement as skills and business needs allow.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
