Caregiver Position – Apollo Beach, FL

We are hiring a reliable, compassionate, and experienced caregiver for a part-time position in Apollo Beach, FL.

Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday
Hours: 11:00 AM-3:00 PM
Pay: $20-21/ hr

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a patient, dependable, respectful, and genuinely caring caregiver who is attentive to detail and comfortable following a client’s specific routines and preferences. The client is diabetic and appreciates someone who is comfortable preparing home-cooked meals, maintaining a clean and organized home, and providing quality personal support and household assistance. We are looking for someone who can create a calm, comfortable, and positive environment while respecting the client’s needs and preferences.

Duties include:

Personal care assistance and support with daily routines
Companionship and supportive supervision
Preparing fresh, home-cooked meals according to the client’s preferences and dietary needs.
Light housekeeping, including dishes, kitchen cleaning, comfort room, and general tidying
Keeping the home clean, organized, and comfortable
Communicating important updates or concerns to the family
Providing patient and respectful support during moments of frustration or agitation
Encouraging independence while providing assistance when needed

Important Client Expectations:

The client is diabetic, so the caregiver must be comfortable following established meal and care routines.
The client has specific preferences regarding home-cooked meals and expects meals to be prepared according to those preferences.
The client is particular about cleanliness and keeping the home tidy, so attention to housekeeping is important.
The client may become agitated or frustrated at times, so we are looking for someone who is calm, patient, understanding, and able to handle these moments professionally.
A positive attitude, good communication, and the ability to respect the client’s routines and preferences are essential.

Qualifications:

· At least 4 years of previous caregiving experience preferred

Experience caring for clients with diabetes is a plus
Comfortable preparing home-cooked meals
Comfortable with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean home
Patient and comfortable working with clients who may become agitated at times
Reliable, compassionate, respectful, and attentive
Good communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a private home

Requirements

To complete your registration, please provide the following up-to-date documents and certifications:

Driver’s License
Auto Insurance
Vaccination Card (if applicable)
CNA/HHA Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Up-to-date Alzheimer’s/Dementia Training Certificate
Up-to-date HIV/AIDS Training Certificate
Assistance with Self-Administration of Medications – 2 Hours (if available)
Physical or TB Test completed within the past 6 months
Level II Background Check completed within the last 5 years

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
