Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Biller specializing in Personal Injury cases to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing process related to personal injury claims, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and maximizing reimbursement for services provided. Your expertise will help streamline our billing operations, improve cash flow, and enhance patient satisfaction. Responsibilities

Prepare and submit accurate medical claims for personal injury cases using billing software and EMR/EHR systems. PROFICIENT IN CHIROFUSION
Review medical records, documentation, and coding details to ensure compliance with ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding standards, including DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding where applicable.
Verify insurance coverage, health insurance information, and patient eligibility to facilitate smooth claims processing.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collections processes and communicate effectively with insurance companies and patients.
Maintain detailed records of medical billing activities, including claim status updates, payment postings, and correspondence logs.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate medical coding and documentation that supports claim accuracy.
Stay current with healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and coding updates to ensure compliance and optimize reimbursements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting, preferably with personal injury or accident-related cases.
Strong knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding systems, including DRG classifications.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare claims processing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare claims management tools.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers.
Knowledge of health insurance policies, medical collections procedures, and medical coding standards.
Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
