Full Job Description

Senior Tax Manager

Business Entity Focused | Construction | M&A Exposure

Most Tax Manager roles say they are “generalist”.

This one is not.

This is a business entity focused role for someone who enjoys complex entity work, large partnerships, and working closely with business owners rather than sitting behind layers reviewing returns.

The client base is heavily focused around business entities, you can also specialise further into construction if thats your niche. If you have worked with large, complex partnerships or construction clients, you will likely feel right at home here.

Mergers and acquisitions is another key area of the practice, so experience with transactions, restructures, or more complex entity work will be useful too.

You will lead engagements, manage client relationships, and work directly with clients on planning, problem solving, and more complex tax matters. This is not a role where you are simply reviewing returns and moving onto the next file.

There is also a genuine leadership element to the role.

You will mentor junior staff, review work, and work closely with Directors and Partners rather than feeling removed from decisions or client conversations.

The firm has made a genuine effort to improve work life balance in public accounting. Peak busy season billable hours are capped at 55 and outside of busy season the team moves to a 4 day work week, including Partners.

What they’re looking for

CPA is required at the Manager and Senior Manager levels
Strong public accounting background within a mid sized or larger CPA firm
Significant experience focused on high net worth and private client tax
Experience with trusts, estates, gifts and pass through entities
Someone who enjoys relationship building as much as technical work
