ABOUT THE ROLE
Full Stack Engineer joining our AI engineering team under Derek Alfonso, VP of AI Engineering. Builder role. You write production code from day one, own features end to end, and work directly with the VP on the systems powering our platform.
This is not a maintenance job. We are building.
LOCATION
100% remote. We are only hiring candidates with their primary residence based in Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, or Arizona.
STRUCTURE
Full-time W-2 employee with a 90-day probationary period. $5,000 sign-on bonus paid upon successful completion of the probationary period.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, build, and ship full stack features across the dealer portal, middleware, and AI voice platform
- Build and maintain integrations with voice AI (Bland AI pathways, knowledge bases, and webhooks), dealer DMS platforms, and scheduling systems (xTime, myKaarma)
- Operate and extend the Java (Apache Camel) middleware layer that connects our AI agents to dealer systems
- Manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform: Lambda, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, SQS, S3, CloudFront, and ECS
- Work directly with Derek on architecture and technical direction
- Own your work from spec through deployment
- Move quickly and iterate based on real client feedback
WHAT YOU NEED
- Real production experience as a full stack engineer (not entry level)
- Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript (we use React 19, Vite, Tailwind CSS 4, React Router 7, and TanStack Query 5)
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js on the backend (we run Hono 4 APIs on AWS Lambda in a pnpm monorepo, OpenAPI-first with generated clients)
- Working knowledge of Java for our Apache Camel middleware that integrates with dealer DMS and scheduling systems
- Experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, SQS, S3, CloudFront, Cognito, SES, ECS) and Terraform infrastructure as code
- Experience integrating with REST APIs and webhooks (HMAC/token auth, idempotency, retries)
- Experience with AI/LLM APIs and conversational voice AI platforms such as Bland AI (strongly preferred)
- Strong database skills: PostgreSQL (we use Drizzle ORM) and DynamoDB
- Willingness to work extra hours when the business calls for it
- Drive to build. If you want a 9 to 5, this is not the role.

COMPENSATION
$125,000 – $150,000 depending on experience. $5,000 sign-on bonus paid upon successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
