Security Officer -Foot Patrols

Job Description

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Robards, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with integrity, reliability, and teamwork while contributing to a welcoming environment for shoppers, guests, and team members.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site leadership according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and assist with security-related concerns such as lost property, disturbances, and/or policy-related issues.
Document routine activities, unusual conditions, and incident details, and communicate clearly with management, employees, and/or first responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
