You will be responsible for preparing dough, baking fresh bagels, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace that meets all food safety standards. Duties

Prepare bagel dough according to established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every batch
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently
Shape and boil bagels before baking, adhering to precise techniques and timing
Bake freshly made bagels to meet quality standards and customer expectations
Maintain a clean workspace by following proper sanitation procedures and food safety guidelines
Package baked goods carefully for retail or wholesale distribution, ensuring freshness and presentation
Assist with other food production tasks such as pastry preparation, cake decorating, and food handling as needed

Requirements

Proven experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation, preferably with high-volume bakery experience preferred
Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely
Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory
Excellent attention to detail in baked goods quality control
Customer service skills are a plus for engaging with team members
