About the Role:

The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of residents within assisted living or healthcare facilities. This position ensures that meals are prepared, served, and delivered in a timely and sanitary manner, adhering strictly to dietary guidelines and infection control protocols. The Dietary Aide collaborates closely with dietary staff and healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences, enhancing the overall well-being of residents. Attention to detail and the ability to follow both written and oral instructions are essential to maintain high standards of food service and safety. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the comfort, health, and satisfaction of those under care by providing reliable and compassionate dietary support.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
Basic knowledge of food service and infection control practices.
Demonstrated patience and ability to relate positively with residents and team members.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in assisted living or healthcare food service environments.
Certification in food safety or dietary aide training.
Familiarity with special dietary needs such as diabetic or low-sodium diets.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established dietary plans and safety standards.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils in compliance with infection control policies.
Follow written and oral instructions carefully to meet the specific dietary needs and preferences of residents.
