We are looking for a Submarine/Sandwich Maker to join our talented team. As a Submarine/Sandwich Maker, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality, mouthwatering sandwiches while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of submarine sandwiches and other sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ingredient Handling: Handle and maintain all ingredients and toppings, ensuring freshness and quality standards are met.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking their orders and providing menu recommendations as needed.
- Sanitation and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work area, following proper food safety and hygiene guidelines at all times.
- Equipment Operation: Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, grills, ovens, and toasters efficiently and safely.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all sandwiches meet quality and presentation standards before they are served to customers.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of ingredient inventory levels and notify the management team when items need replenishing.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with other staff and management to maintain a smooth workflow. Work effectively as a TEAM.
- Training: Participate in training sessions to learn new recipes, sandwich-making techniques, and menu updates.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or fast-food environment is a plus.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Flexibility in working various shifts, including evenings (we close at 6:30PM) and weekends.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy ingredient containers.
- Excellent phone etiquette for answering calls and taking orders.
