Family-Owned Restaurant Group | Rochester, MN

A family-owned restaurant group is looking for a chef or rising kitchen leader for one of our Rochester locations.

This is a great opportunity for someone with kitchen management experience who is ready for the next step in their culinary career. You may be a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or lead cook who has been taking on more responsibility and is ready to grow into a stronger leadership role.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, proud of their work, and excited to keep learning. You do not need to have everything mastered already. We care more about the right attitude, leadership potential, work ethic, and willingness to grow.

In this role, you will work closely with our Culinary Director, who will help support menu execution, kitchen systems, standards, training, and leadership development. You will have the opportunity to lead a kitchen while still having guidance, mentorship, and a team around you.

We are not a corporate restaurant environment. Our owners are involved, our team is hands-on, and we care about creating a workplace that feels respectful, collaborative, and fun. We are serious about food and hospitality, but we also believe kitchens are better when people enjoy the people they work with.

What You’ll Do

Lead daily kitchen operations
Support, train, and develop kitchen team members
Execute the menu with consistency, quality, and care
Work closely with the Culinary Director on standards and systems
Assist with ordering, inventory, prep, scheduling, and organization
Help build a positive kitchen culture based on teamwork and accountability
Bring ideas, energy, and a willingness to keep learning

We’re Looking For Someone Who

Has kitchen management, sous chef, or strong lead cook experience
Is passionate about food and hospitality
Leads with respect, humility, and consistency
Wants to grow into the next level of their culinary career
Can balance creativity with structure and follow-through
Enjoys coaching and supporting a team
Takes pride in doing things well, even when service gets busy
