Full Job Description

The Estate Preservation Law Firm is seeking a compassionate, organized, and self-motivated Paralegal to join our growing elder law practice. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families as they navigate some of life's most challenging transitions.

Our practice focuses on helping clients protect their assets, plan for the future, and guide families through complex legal matters with confidence and compassion. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and providing exceptional client service.

What You'll Do

Working directly with the attorney, you will:

Prepare and manage Medicaid (Long-Term Care) applications and supporting documentation.
Assist with probate and estate administration matters.
Assist with trust administration after the death of a loved one.
Communicate regularly with clients, families, financial institutions, and government agencies.
Guide clients through the legal process with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
Develop strong, lasting relationships with clients and their families.
Draft legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines.
Prioritize multiple cases while adapting to changing client needs and attorney priorities.

Works independently with minimal supervision.
Is highly organized and detail-oriented.
Can effectively manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Communicates professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Takes initiative and enjoys problem-solving.
Is comfortable working directly with both clients and the attorney.

Elder law experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates excellent organizational skills, compassion, professionalism, and a strong desire to learn.

Qualifications

Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred.
Experience in a law office preferred.
Strong computer and document management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
