About Peak Time Pickleball

Peak Time Pickleball is the largest indoor pickleball facility in North Carolina, featuring 19 indoor courts, a performance and fitness center, pro shop, member lounge, and sauna. Our mission is to create Charlotte's premier pickleball home club by delivering structured play, elite programming, and an exceptional member experience.

As the official host of the PPA Challenger Tournament in September 2026, along with numerous national, regional, and local tournaments and leagues, Peak Time is rapidly becoming one of the premier destinations for pickleball in the Southeast.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Manager to oversee all day-to-day operations, lead our leadership team, drive membership growth, and ensure operational excellence throughout the facility.

Position Overview

The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance and success of the club, including:

Daily operations
Team leadership and staff development
Membership growth and retention
Revenue generation
Member satisfaction
Programming execution
Financial performance

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring exceptional operational discipline, strong business acumen, and a hospitality-focused mindset.

The General Manager will oversee the following departments:

Pickleball Programs & Coaching
Facility & Front Desk Operations
Leagues & Events
Pro Shop
Performance & Fitness Center
Membership Sales & Retention

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Facility Management

Ensure seamless daily operations from opening to closing.
Maintain efficient court scheduling and structured open play.
Oversee facility cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
Enforce standard operating procedures across all departments.
Manage vendor relationships and facility service contracts.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop department managers.
Conduct weekly leadership meetings and regular performance reviews.
Establish departmental KPIs and accountability systems.
Create a culture centered on professionalism, teamwork, urgency, and exceptional service.

Membership Growth & Revenue

Drive membership acquisition and retention strategies.
Develop initiatives to convert visitors into members.
Monitor daily revenue from memberships, court rentals, retail, programming, and events.
Increase court utilization during non-peak hours through promotions, leagues, clinics, and partnerships.
Support the planning and execution of tournaments and large-scale events.

Financial Management

Manage the club's profit and loss (P&L).
Monitor labor costs and staffing efficiency.
Control operating expenses.
Develop monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Programming & Member Experience

Ensure high-quality programming for players of all skill levels.
Maintain rating integrity and fair play standards.
Oversee leagues, tournaments, clinics, and special events.
Gather member feedback and continuously improve the member experience.
Foster a welcoming "home club" culture where members feel connected and engaged.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in operations management.
Experience managing a sports facility, fitness club, pickleball club, hospitality business, or other high-volume service operation.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
Demonstrated experience managing budgets and P&L.
Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accountability.
Knowledge of pickleball is a must and knowing the courtreserve is strongly preferred
