Full Job Description

Overview
Tract Bio, located in The Pearl Innovation District in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate with expertise in mammalian cell culture and animal research models to join our team. Tract Bio is pioneering the future of healthcare by translating discoveries in epithelial stem cell biology into transformative therapies. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects with direct translational impact.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and maintain sterile mammalian cell culture, including both primary cells and established cell lines.
Conduct molecular and cellular assays (e.g., cell viability, drug sensitivity, flow cytometry).
Work with rodent models, including handling, injections, tissue collection, and xenograft studies, under approved protocols.
Manage inventory, ordering, and record keeping.
Collaborate with senior scientists and trainees to design, execute, and analyze experiments.
Ensure strict compliance with institutional biosafety and animal care regulations.
Other duties, as required.

Required Qualifications

PhD degree in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
Demonstrated proficiency in animal handling and experimental procedures.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Prior experience in cancer biology or drug development research required.
