CMM Programmer Apprentice

Location: Roscoe, IL 61073

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CMM Programmer Apprentice to join our team in Roscoe, IL. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programming and precision measurement technologies.

Responsibilities

Assist in programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure accurate measurement of manufactured parts.
Learn to use calipers and other precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to measurement programs.
Read and understand blueprints and technical drawings to develop measurement plans.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support inspection processes.
Maintain and organize measurement data and documentation.
Continuously develop mechanical aptitude and technical skills related to CMM programming and inspection.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of CMM programming or a strong willingness to learn.
Familiarity with calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
Knowledge of GD&T concepts or eagerness to gain proficiency.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
