Overview

Join our team as a Plumbers Helper or Junior Mechanic and kickstart your career in the skilled trades. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in plumbing, mechanical systems, and construction projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals, assisting with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and mechanical systems on various construction sites. Responsibilities

Assist senior plumbers and mechanics with pipe installation, system maintenance, and repairs on construction sites
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support installation tasks
Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and effectively
Support the assembly and remodeling of plumbing systems according to building codes and safety protocols
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards at all times
Help with the use of field service techniques including troubleshooting plumbing issues and performing routine maintenance
Follow safety procedures diligently when working with power tools, welding equipment, and hazardous materials

Skills

Construction experience with a focus on plumbing or mechanical systems
Knowledge of construction plumbing, pipe installation, and system repair techniques
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment for various tasks on-site
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical specifications
Strong understanding of building code compliance and safety protocols in construction environments
Customer service mindset when interacting with clients or other tradespeople on-site
Experience in carpentry, remodeling, or handyman work is advantageous for versatile support roles
