We are seeking a highly organized, passionate, and detail-oriented Senior Personal Chef & Culinary Lead to deliver custom in-home dining experiences and high-touch culinary care for our clients across Westchester, NY.
This role goes beyond everyday meal preparation. You will work closely with advanced-level clients to craft customized, seasonal menus centered on culinary medicine, specialized diets, food allergies, and maternal nutrition. Additionally, you will play a key role in recipe development, content creation for a digital cookbook, and help lead and mentor our expanding team of chefs as our company grows.

Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Culinary Operations
- Tailored Menu Design: Develop and modify customized menus incorporating seasonal ingredients, strict dietary requirements, food allergen safety, and culinary medicine principles.
- In-Home Meal Prep Service & Consultations: Perform regular client check-ins, hold consultation calls, and manage personalized weekly meal execution on-site for families.
- Chef Instructor: Demo and instruct at in-home cooking class events.
- Smart Grocery Sourcing: Shop efficiently at local specialty markets (Whole Foods, DeCicco’s, and specialty markets), adhering to client budgets and keeping meticulous records of grocery receipts.
- Kitchen Standard & Hygiene: Maintain the highest level of kitchen cleanliness, including full cleanup of pots, pans, tools, workspace, and trash disposal.
- Daily Professional Presentation: Arrive in full professional culinary attire (clean YCE chef jacket, black pants, and black non-slip work shoes) and provide printed menus and detailed meal labels for every client service.
Recipe Development & Creative Content
- Recipe Development: Collaborate on developing and testing health-focused recipes, including specialized work in maternal nutrition and therapeutic meal planning.
- Media & Digital Content: Capture high-quality video and photo content during prep/cooking, edit short-form media for social platforms, and contribute to upcoming digital cookbook project.
Leadership & Future Growth
- Manage daily priorities independently without requiring micromanagement.
- Help oversee, train, and manage junior culinary staff as the team continues to scale.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of professional personal chef, high-end private chef, or senior culinary experience.
- Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated mastery of food allergen management, specialized diets, therapeutic culinary medicine, and seasonal ingredient sourcing.
- Organizational Excellence: High attention to detail in every aspect of work—from double-checking menu precision and clean email/label grammar to careful receipt tracking.
- Work Workspace & Logistics:
- Based in Westchester or Putnam County with a clean, reliable vehicle and valid driver's license (willingness to drive up to 1 hour to client locations).
- Access to a clean, dedicated work-from-home kitchen space with extra refrigeration capacity for development and prep days.
- Media & Tech Skills: Comfortable capturing/editing photos and short videos on a mobile device for social media and digital publications.

Weekly Schedule
- Workdays: Monday through Friday (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM standard base hours, plus travel time).
- Monday – Wednesday (Client Days): In-home client consultations, grocery sourcing, meal prep, execution, and kitchen service (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM + travel).
- Thursday (Development & Operations): Remote or on-site: Recipe testing, menu creation, upcoming week planning, and client check-in calls.
- Friday (Content & Special Projects): Remote or on-site: Recipe creation and prep for digital cookbooks, media creation, and special event preparation.
- Weekends: Occasional Saturday or Sunday events as needed (with a flex weekday off provided in exchange).
