Full Job Description

This highly respected Northern California medical center is seeking an Interim Endoscopy RN Manager for an exciting leadership opportunity overseeing a growing GI Services program. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN leader who enjoys building strong teams, supporting clinical excellence, and guiding a department through an exciting period of growth.

The Interim Endoscopy RN Manager will join a nonprofit regional medical center known for delivering exceptional patient care across a broad range of specialty services. This accredited hospital has earned recognition for its commitment to quality, patient safety, and clinical excellence, while maintaining a collaborative culture where nursing leadership plays an important role in organizational success. The Interim Endoscopy RN Manager will become part of a leadership team dedicated to continuous improvement and outstanding patient outcomes.

Reporting directly to the Director of Surgical Services, the Interim Endoscopy RN Manager will provide day-to-day leadership for GI Services while supervising Charge Nurses and supporting a dedicated team of clinical professionals. The Interim Endoscopy RN Manager will collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, perioperative leadership, and multidisciplinary departments to ensure efficient operations, exceptional patient experiences, and seamless coordination of care throughout the procedural setting.

The Interim Endoscopy RN Manager will oversee a busy endoscopy department with approximately 48 FTEs performing more than 6,000 procedural cases annually, along with nearly 3,000 outpatient visits each year. Since the addition of anesthesia services to outpatient endoscopy in late 2024, procedural volumes have continued to grow, creating an exciting opportunity for the Interim Endoscopy RN Manager to lead a dynamic and evolving service line. This department offers a collaborative atmosphere with experienced physicians, skilled nursing staff, and dedicated procedural teams focused on delivering outstanding patient care.

The Interim Endoscopy RN Manager will provide clinical leadership through staff mentoring, competency development, quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Administrative responsibilities include managing departmental operations, budgeting, staffing, productivity, physician collaboration, and supporting strategic planning initiatives as volumes continue to expand. The Interim Endoscopy RN Manager will also promote employee engagement while fostering a culture centered on patient safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence.
