Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA P2P Functional Consultant with a strong emphasis on SAP Finance – Accounts Payable (FI-AP) and SAP Materials Management (MM). The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience supporting Accounts Payable processes and strong knowledge of MM-driven Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and the integration between SAP MM and SAP FI/AP.
This position is specifically focused on candidates with substantial hands-on FI-AP experience combined with SAP MM/PTP expertise. Candidates whose background is primarily SAP MM with only limited exposure to AP processes will not be considered a strong fit.
The consultant will support solution analysis, functional specification development, testing, deployment, enhancements, and production support within an SAP S/4HANA environment. This is not a traditional AMS ticket-taking or configuration-only role. The resource will analyze business requirements, evaluate solution feasibility, develop functional specifications, coordinate with technical teams, support testing, obtain business approvals, and assist with production deployment and transition to support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, understand, and validate business requirements related to FI-AP, MM, and end-to-end P2P processes.
- Provide hands-on functional expertise in SAP Accounts Payable and SAP Materials Management.
- Evaluate solution feasibility and recommend appropriate SAP FI-AP, MM, and P2P solutions.
- Analyze integration points between SAP MM and SAP FI/AP.
- Support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes, including procurement, goods receipt, invoice processing, and accounts payable activities.
- Prepare and maintain detailed functional specifications.
- Develop functional requirements, test scenarios, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with ABAP and technical development teams throughout the enhancement lifecycle.
- Prepare test data and execute Functional Unit Testing (FUT).
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Coordinate defect analysis, resolution, retesting, and business validation.
- Support approvals, deployment planning, and production release activities.
- Assist with production deployment and post-release validation.
- Provide knowledge transfer to AMS and application support teams.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, IT teams, developers, and cross-functional SAP teams.
- Support integration between MM/FI-AP and other SAP modules, including SD and EWM.
- Identify opportunities to improve P2P processes and SAP solutions.
- Provide functional guidance and support throughout SAP S/4HANA enhancement and implementation initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of SAP functional experience.
- Strong hands-on SAP Materials Management (MM) experience.
- Strong hands-on SAP Accounts Payable (FI-AP) experience.
- 8+ years of experience supporting SAP FI-AP processes and MM-Finance integration.
- 7+ years of experience with end-to-end SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- 7+ years of SAP S/4HANA implementation and enhancement experience.
- Strong understanding of FI-AP and MM integration.
- Experience creating and maintaining functional specifications.
- Experience working closely with ABAP and technical development teams.
- Experience with Functional Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT, and production deployment support.
- Strong knowledge of MM integration with FI/AP, SD, and EWM.
- Strong business requirements analysis and solution assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Position Requirements:
- Hybrid onsite position in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

- Strong FI-AP experience is mandatory.
- SAP MM/PTP experience is mandatory.
- Candidates with predominantly MM experience and limited hands-on AP experience should not be prioritized.
