Description:
Saint Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, CT ATTACH RESUMEJoin our Pathology Lab Team and contribute your skills to a team committed to delivering high-quality patient care. This is an on-site position.We’re looking for someone who is organized, focused, and thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment.You would support a busy Pathology office as office assistant and responsible for addendum reports, customer service and send out testing via FedEx.What you will do:
- Customer service, fax and answer phone calls, as well as placing occasional orders and Kronos support.
- Addendums of Pathology Lab reports.
- Support Pathology Team with additional office tasks as needed.
Work Hours/Shift:
Per Diem; work hours 8am-4:30pm -must be available to train 3 days per week for 2 weeks.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in an Allied Health Field preferred.
- One year of working experience in a medical office or hospital,preferred.
- Three years of experience as a Medical Word Specialist /Transcriptionist in an acute-care setting, preferred.
- Evidence of ability to transcribe all work types.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a Windows computer environment,required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of dictation& transcription word-processing systems and equipment.
