Full Job Description

Registered Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift)

Rocky Mount, North Carolina

Position Highlights:

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a predictable schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with no call responsibilities. Benefit from self-scheduling on a six-week schedule, allowing greater flexibility while maintaining every other weekend coverage.
Desirable Practice Setting: Join a respected hospital-employed regional medical center serving Eastern North Carolina since 1971. Practice in a fast-paced acute care environment with exposure to a wide variety of patient populations and clinical settings.
Ideal Work Environment: Develop and strengthen your skills by providing respiratory care throughout the hospital, including adult and neonatal populations, the emergency department, labor and delivery, special care nursery, medical floors, and critical care units.

Professional Growth Opportunities: Gain hands-on experience with advanced respiratory equipment, ventilator management, critical care, emergency response, and neonatal care while working with Epic EMR and a modern fleet of ventilators.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive Compensation: Hourly compensation ranging from $30.00 to $54.00 per hour, based on experience. Shift diff would be additional up to $5 an hour.
Additional Compensation: Night and weekend shift differential available (details to be discussed during the interview process).
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment, paid in scheduled installments beginning at 90 days.
Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 in relocation reimbursement.
Comprehensive Benefits Package: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, disability, malpractice coverage, and retirement benefits.
Retirement Benefits: Automatic pension plan plus a 2% employer 401(k) contribution after one year of employment.
Professional Development: License reimbursement available and continuing education support may be negotiated.
Paid Time Off: Approximately 24 days (nearly five weeks) of PTO annually for new employees, with rollover up to 360 hours.

Modern respiratory equipment including Hamilton G5, C2, T1, Philips V60, Vision, Servo-I ventilators, and EPOC blood gas analyzers

Qualifications:

Degree: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. PALS and NRP are preferred.
Licensure: Eligible for or currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in North Carolina.
Skillset: Experience or interest in caring for adult and neonatal patients, ventilator management, emergency response, respiratory assessments, critical care, labor and delivery, and special care nursery.
Experience: New graduates and experienced Respiratory Therapists are encouraged to apply. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) who will obtain RRT certification within six months will also be considered.
Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is not available.
