Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Cosmetology Instructor to inspire and educate the next generation of beauty professionals. In this dynamic role, you will deliver engaging classroom instruction, mentor students, and ensure they acquire the comprehensive skills needed to excel in the beauty industry. Your expertise will help shape confident, skilled cosmetologists ready to thrive in diverse salon environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while advancing your career in education and beauty.

Duties

Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering cosmetology topics such as hair styling, skincare, makeup application, nail care, and esthetic treatments
Supervise student practice sessions in classroom and salon settings, ensuring safety and adherence to industry standards
Mentor students by providing constructive feedback, guidance, and support throughout their training journey
Conduct demonstrations of techniques including hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, body waxing, facials, dermabrasion, and deep tissue massage
Assess student progress through evaluations, exams, and practical assessments to ensure mastery of skills
Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing health and safety protocols related to cosmetology practices
Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques such as laser treatments, trigger point therapy, and aesthetic procedures into curriculum

Skills

Extensive knowledge of cosmetology disciplines including hair styling, barbering, skincare, massage therapy, and nail care
Proven experience working in the beauty industry with hands-on salon expertise
Strong classroom management skills with experience in adult education and lesson planning
Ability to mentor students effectively while fostering a positive learning environment
Excellent communication skills for clear instruction and constructive feedback
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology procedures such as facial treatments and massage therapy
Familiarity with advanced techniques like eyelash extensions, hair coloring, hair, body waxing, esthetic laser treatments, dermabrasion, and hair extensions
Ability to supervise students during practical applications ensuring compliance with safety standards
Passion for teaching and empowering students to succeed professionally
