Position Summary
The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for delivering an exceptional complimentary breakfast experience by preparing, presenting, and maintaining the hotel's breakfast service in accordance with company and brand standards. This role ensures food quality, cleanliness, and outstanding guest service while maintaining a safe and organized dining environment. The Breakfast Attendant supports the overall Food & Beverage operation by creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can begin their day with an enjoyable dining experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Service

Welcome guests with a friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude throughout breakfast service.

Respond promptly to guest questions, requests, and special dietary needs while providing exceptional hospitality.

Maintain an inviting dining environment by ensuring guests are comfortable and well cared for.

Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
Breakfast Preparation and Service

Prepare, set up, and maintain the complimentary breakfast buffet in accordance with company policies and brand standards.

Prepare food and beverages, including coffee, juice, fresh fruit, cereals, baked goods, and hot breakfast items, following standardized recipes and food safety guidelines.

Monitor food quality, freshness, presentation, and temperatures throughout service.

Replenish food, beverages, utensils, condiments, and serving supplies to ensure the breakfast area remains fully stocked during operating hours.
Dining Area and Sanitation

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming breakfast area before, during, and after service.

Bus, clean, sanitize, and reset dining tables as guests depart.

Wash, sanitize, and properly store serving utensils, dishes, coffee equipment, and food service equipment.

Remove trash and clean kitchen counters, cabinets, floors, beverage stations, and other food service areas.

Follow "Clean As You Go" practices throughout each shift.
Safety Compliance and Teamwork

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.

Safely operate kitchen equipment, coffee machines, warming equipment, and other food service appliances.

Follow company safety, security, and emergency procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by designated supervisor.
What You Bring
Required:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Basic knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling practices.

Must possess or obtain a Food Handler certification if required by state or local regulations.

Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and supervisors.

Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of organization.
Preferred:

Previous customer service, restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience.
-
Previous hotel breakfast attendant or complimentary breakfast experience.

Experience working in a buffet or self-service dining environment.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
-
This position is based on-property in Bentonville/Rogers, AR.
-
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
-
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull food products, beverage containers, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, twist, and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements while preparing food and maintaining the breakfast area.

Ability to safely operate commercial coffee machines, warming equipment, refrigerators, dishwashing equipment, and other food service appliances.
-
Regular exposure to hot surfaces, steam, refrigerated storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels in a food service environment.
