Full Job Description

The Inventory Controller is organized, diligent, and detailed oriented. This role manages inventory through the use of a computerized database system. The primary objective is to maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily distribution demands while minimizing excess supply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee inventory and supply chain management in the following ways:

· Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock

· Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts

· Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records

Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders in the following ways:

· Collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities;

· Process orders for shipment

· Nurture positive relationships with suppliers

· Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment

Inform quality control decisions in the following ways:

· Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items

· Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports

· Review reports monthly with management

· Provide customer service as needed

Job Requirements

· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

· 1 year of related work experience
