Job Title: Branch Manager/Pharmacist in Charge

Department: Pharmacy

Pay: Starting $200,000 salary annually

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager/Pharmacist In Charge to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and precision. This pivotal role combines leadership, clinical expertise, and regulatory compliance to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient pharmacy management. The successful candidate will oversee daily pharmacy functions, manage a dedicated team, and uphold the highest standards of pharmaceutical practice. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel to ensure smooth daily operations.
Oversee medication dispensing, compounding medications, and patient counseling with accuracy and compassion.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws, including USP 797 standards for sterile compounding and HIPAA confidentiality policies.
Manage inventory levels efficiently, including medication procurement, storage, and expiration control.
Maintain thorough documentation using Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and EMR systems.
Uphold pharmacy regulatory standards such as drug regulation compliance, medical management protocols, and healthcare policies.
Facilitate staff training on aseptic techniques, physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and pharmacy operations.
Implement client communication strategies to enhance patient service experience while ensuring clinical confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Proven experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist with a strong background in clinical infusion pharmacy services.
Managing pharmacy teams with effective leadership skills.
Extensive knowledge of pharmacy laws at the state and federal levels along with drug regulation policies.
Proficiency in pharmacy software systems including PIS, EHR systems, and other healthcare IT tools.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance such as USP 797 standards for sterile preparations.
Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about medication administration and health concerns.
Ability to perform patient assessments related to medication therapy management and immunizations.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification along with immunization certification preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pain management practices, and medical terminology to support clinical decision-making.
Experience managing inventory effectively while adhering to healthcare compliance standards.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques for compounding medications in accordance with USP 797 guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to navigate HIPAA regulations ensuring patient privacy at all times.
