Full Job Description

The Scholarship Manager manages the university's scholarship programs, systems, reporting, and awarding processes. This position collaborates with campus partners to ensure scholarships are administered effectively, supports students and staff, and promotes continuous process improvement to Scholarship Administration & Coordination.

Manage the scholarship management system, including training, annual cycle maintenance, and scholarship setup and review.
Award and maintain all internal and external scholarships within the PeopleSoft student information system.
Advise Student Financial Services staff on scholarship policies, procedures, and processes.
Maintain scholarship calendars and deadlines to ensure timely completion of all scholarship activities.
Manage scholarship appeals for prospective and current students. Reporting & Data Management
Generate reports throughout the year to assist scholarship administrators in monitoring available funding and fund utilization.
Prepare scholarship-related reports, student data analyses, and statistical information as requested. Scholarship Fund Development & Campus Partnerships
Collaborate with University Advancement, including the Alumni Association, to establish new scholarship funds and review or redesign existing funds.
Advocate for scholarship criteria and fund structures that better align with institutional priorities and student needs.
Partner with campus departments to support scholarship recruitment, selection, and awarding activities. Scholarship Communications & Special Programs
Coordinate scholarship-related communications, promotional materials, advertisements, and mass mailings.
Administer all aspects of the Chancellor's Scholarship program, including application review, scoring, selection, and awarding.
Collaborate with Admissions in planning and executing Scholar's Day for scholarship finalists. Continuous Improvement & Special Projects
Identify opportunities to improve scholarship processes, increase efficiency, and enhance service delivery.
Lead or support special projects as requested. Perform related duties as assigned.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm with at least one Saturday a month

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in a financial aid office or with scholarship awarding; ability to make independent decision and exercise sound judgement
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, interacting professionally with diverse personalities and excellent verbal and written communication skills are requested.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter; is able to work with minimum supervision when required; demonstrates a strong attention to detail; provides exceptional customer service and employs strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office Suite a strong plus.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $53,976 - $56,884.20 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
