About Us

Georgia Highlands College is a multi-campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1970 as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 6,000 students in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama across its five locations in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta, and Dallas. Job Summary

This position provides enrollment services support and serves as an initial point of contact for the campus/site.

Responsibilities

Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.

Greets visitors both on campus and virtually; acts as a central referral resource, providing basic information and assistance regarding the college

Serves as a general representative in the phone queue

Hosts the virtual HUB

Refers prospective and continuing students, as well as community visitors, to appropriate personnel

Provides information and assistance regarding admissions, financial aid, and enrollment services

Receives and screens enrollment documentation; scans documents and prepares for courier

Monitors and responds to the 411 Ticketing System

Reviews and forwards incoming email to appropriate personnel

Assists students with general computer and printer issues and resetting personal identification numbers and passwords

Escorts students to appropriate offices

Performs cashier duties; receives and processes payments; prepares daily financial reports; and serves as instructional site custodian for petty cash

Takes photos and processes student ID cards

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent

Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years

Proposed Salary

$19.23 per hour
