The Shipping and Receiving Lead is responsible for supervising shipping orders, receiving deliveries, processing returns, carrier relations, order management, product management and customer service. Follows all site health and safety regulations and a strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
Essential Functions:
1. Communicate updates and create shipping and receiving logs: transfer logs in electronic format.
2. Loading and unloading of trucks
3. Correctly placing items on pallets
4. Setting up and Preparing Shipping documents for FTL and LTL shipments
5. Properly matching BOL documents with the correct outbound and inbound shipments.
6. Verify the type and quantity of each item by matching order to the packing list or invoice.
7. Record any discrepancies in item quantity or type on inbound and outbound products.
8. Inspect inbound shipments for damage, proper signature of drivers, and properly documenting and alerting management of any issues.
9. Properly stage outgoing items to ensure shipment to the appropriate destination in a timely manner.
10. Ensure all required labels and product information is made visible on each pallet or shipment.
11. Monitoring inventory to ensure items are organized and easily accessible to all team members.
12. Physically receiving raw materials into warehouse and coordinating with purchasing and/or manage to ensure inspection and identification of issues.
13. Communicate any receiving issues to Plant Manager on a daily basis.
14. Execute the receipt of incoming materials from vendors.
15. Properly organize and arrange the warehouse for efficient storage of inventory.
16. Coordinate with other production members to ensure proper cleanliness and organization of all warehouse areas.
17. Assist in developing inventory control processes throughout the facility to increase efficiency.
18. Safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
19. Help develop SOPs and leads by example.

1. High School degree or equivalent education experience

Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position has supervisory responsibilities over shipping / receiving personnel.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a manufacturing environment. At times, the employee will be exposed to manufacturing environment, including forklift traffic, fumes, noise, and operating manufacturing equipment.
Physical Demands:
1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to squat. Must be able to bend at the knees, and flexible enough to work in awkward positions.
2. Must be able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
3. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.
4. Must be able tolerate fluctuations in temperature and humidity.
5. Must be able to work with hands and have the manual dexterity to use misc. hand tools (i.e. hammer, screwdriver etc.).
6. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
7. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m. Will also require some weekend work.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
