Full Job Description

PAY: $28.21 – $30.77

A Full Time position with an excellent benefits package is available:

$28.21 – $30.77
37.5-hour work week
M – F, 7.5 hour shifts, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Hybrid Schedule
27 paid days off in year 1 (vacation & holidays), plus paid sick time!

POSITION: Revenue Cycle Management Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Revenue Cycle Management Supervisor oversees daily operations related to billing, coding, claims processing, collections, and reimbursement activities within the agency. This role ensures efficient revenue cycle performance, compliance with state, and federal regulations, timely payment collection, and strong team productivity. The supervisor manages staff, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), resolves escalated billing issues, and collaborates with clinical, finance, and payer teams to optimize revenue and reduce claim denials.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Supervise daily operations of the revenue cycle team, including billing, coding, collections, payment posting, and denial management
Monitor accounts receivable (A/R) aging and ensure timely follow-up on unpaid claims
Review and analyze revenue cycle metrics and prepare operational reports
Train, mentor, and evaluate RCM staff performance
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS regulations, payer guidelines, and internal policies
Identify process improvement opportunities to increase reimbursement and reduce denials.
Resolve complex billing discrepancies, payer disputes, and escalated patient account issues.
Coordinate with providers, billers, and the accounting department to improve workflow efficiency.
Assist with audits and implement corrective action plans as needed.
Maintain knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and industry changes.
Support month-end closing and revenue reconciliation activities.
Assists in contract negotiations and updates for all insurance contracts and is the liaison between the Executive Director and the insurance companies.
Maintains self in a professional manner at all times and adheres to The Neighborhood Center, Inc. policies, procedures and mission.
Punctuality and regular attendance are essential responsibilities of each employee. Employees must report to work as scheduled, on time, and prepared to begin their workday.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or closely related field, a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, and a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in healthcare revenue cycle or medical billing.
Ability/experience to perform account analysis and reporting activities in detail.
Ability/experience to perform tasks accurately and within prescribed time frames.
Ability/experience to understand and apply regulations, procedures and reinforce appropriate office decorum.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding systems, and payer regulations.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) and practice management systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
