Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dietary Aide to join our team at Eastern Star Home in Oriskany, New York. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and nutrition for our residents. Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation, service, and cleaning of meals and snacks for residents in our state-of-the-art kitchen facilities
Maintain accurate records of meal service and resident preferences to ensure personalized care
Participate in the planning and preparation of special events and functions, such as birthday celebrations and holiday dinners
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, upholding the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene
Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure seamless meal service, working closely with our registered dietitians and culinary staff
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager, as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
1 year of experience in food service or healthcare environment preferred, but not required
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods, with a focus on resident safety and comfort
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
Familiarity with basic food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all residents and staff
