Robot Kit Assembly & Production Associate (Full-Time)

Trossen Robotics – Downers Grove, IL

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our production team as a Robot Kit Assembly & Production Associate. This role is responsible for the precise assembly, quality assurance, and logistics of our robot kits and components.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Production

● Assemble robot kits by bolting together brackets, motors, and various hardware components per work instructions and engineering drawings.

● Operate and monitor a farm of 8–12 3D printers, ensuring consistent part quality and timely production.

● Run CNC laser machines for cutting plastic components to specification.

● Perform basic electronics soldering for wiring, connectors, and circuit board assembly. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

● Conduct in-process and final QA testing of assembled kits to verify functionality and adherence to quality standards.

● Inspect incoming materials and parts for defects or inconsistencies.

● Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance product quality and workflow efficiency.

Warehouse Operations

● Box and label completed kits for inventory stocking.

● Assist with picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.

● Receive, inspect, and organize inbound shipments.

● Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting routine counts and ensuring materials are properly stored and organized.

Documentation & Reporting

● Accurately complete production logs and quality checklists.

● Document any non-conformances or assembly issues and report to the production supervisor.

Team Collaboration & Safety

● Collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and product launches.

● Uphold company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area at all times.

Requirements

● Associates degree preferred, High school diploma required.

● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Basic understanding of quality control principles and lean manufacturing processes (training provided).

● Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to assemble small parts.

● Willingness to learn new technologies and processes.

● Reliable transportation; must be able to work onsite.

● Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse operations preferred but not required.
