First Care Management Services is looking for a Certified Medical assistant /Front Desk Receptionist to join our Urgent/ Primary Care and Aesthetics Clinic team in Manhattan , New Lenox and Bourbonnais Offices.

Bilingual a plus.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exemplary customer service while efficiently managing administrative tasks. As a Medical Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and maintaining positive relationships with patients and staff.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
Schedule appointments, verify patient information, and update electronic medical records accurately.
Collect patient co-payments, process insurance information, and assist with billing inquiries.
Coordinate patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring timely and efficient service.
Manage incoming calls, route calls to the appropriate department or individual, and take messages as needed.
Respond to patient inquiries, address concerns, and provide information about clinic services and policies.
Obtain lab work, and urine drug screens.
Observe urine samples, test onsite and package for laboratory.
Makes appointments for clients to see physician, provide lab work and referrals for additional follow up care.
Maintain and keep updated all medical records and documentation pertaining to the clientsTaking medical histories
Preparing patients for examination
Assisting the physician during exams
Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
Performing basic laboratory tests
Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
Vitals
Knowledge of HIPAA, EMR/EHR
Finger-stick blood tests
High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) and completion of a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist certification program at an accredited institution that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities
