Job Title: Event Bartender / Banquet Staff (Part-Time)

Location: Temecula, CA

Position Summary

The Event Bartender / Banquet Staff member is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service during private events, weddings, and on-site functions. This role combines banquet setup, service execution, and professional bartending to ensure seamless event operations. The ideal candidate is service-driven, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEvent & Banquet Operations

Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) prior to each function to understand event flow, timing, and service expectations
Complete required setup and preparation of banquet and service areas before scheduled events
Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms according to BEO specifications
Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas throughout the event
Lift, move, and store tables, chairs, staging, and equipment safely and efficiently
Inspect all equipment before, during, and after each function; report issues to Supervisor/Captain
Ensure all supplies and equipment are in place and functioning properly
Break down event spaces and complete post-event cleanup to company standards
Assist team members across departments as needed to ensure smooth event execution

Bartending Responsibilities

Set up and break down bar areas according to event specifications and company standards
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and professional manner
Maintain knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktail offerings, with an emphasis on winery products
Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and consistency of all beverages served
Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies
Monitor guest consumption and act responsibly to prevent over-service
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout the event
Accurately handle cash and/or POS transactions when required

Service & Guest Experience

Monitor guest needs, anticipate requests, and ensure a high level of satisfaction
Deliver professional, polished, and friendly service at all times
Follow all service standards, policies, and procedures
Communicate effectively with team members and leadership during events

Operational Standards & Compliance

Inventory supplies at the beginning of each shift and replenish as needed
Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or maintenance needs immediately
Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Complete all assigned opening and closing duties
Uphold company core values in all actions and interactions

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of banquet, restaurant, or bartending experience required
Prior event or wedding experience preferred
Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktails (winery experience a plus)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older (for alcohol service)
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more (labor-intensive role)
Reliable transportation or ability to commute to Temecula, CA
Must obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification (California requirement)
