Pause Fort Lauderdale, 2071 E. Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale
Full Time / Part Time, Hourly
Position Summary
The Sales Associate is the face of Pause Fort Lauderdale. You create the first impression, run the guest experience, and convert first-time visitors into members.
This is a sales role. You will ask people to buy memberships on every shift, there are conversion targets, and your compensation reflects your performance. The people who thrive here are the ones who enjoy that — who like helping someone decide, and who are comfortable asking for the sale.
We hire one Sales Associate profile: someone we would be glad to promote. Sales Team Leader is filled from this bench, not from outside. See The Path below.

The Path | Sales Associate → Sales Team Leader → AGM/GM
We promote Sales Team Leaders from within. A Team Leader coaches other associates on how to sell, and that is not something you can be taught from outside — it is earned by doing this job well first, on this floor, with these guests.
What advancement to Sales Team Leader requires:
- Sustained sales performance — consistently at or above membership conversion and retail targets, not one strong month
- Coaching aptitude — you help teammates close, not just close your own. This is a separate skill from selling and it is assessed separately
- Reliability — attendance and punctuality that others can schedule around
- Ownership — you see what the studio needs and act without being asked
What the Sales Team Leader role adds:
- Train, mentor, and coach associates on sales technique
- Run sales coaching sessions and role-play reps
- Schedule and lead team huddles
- Monitor sales metrics and KPIs, reporting to studio leadership
- Assist with onboarding new team members
- Support performance evaluations
- Oversee opening and closing procedures as needed
- Rate increases to $18.00/hour plus expanded incentive participation
From Sales Team Leader, the line of sight continues to Assistant General Manager and General Manager. People stay where there is a ladder. This one is real, and it is filled from the inside.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting at $16.00/hour ($15.00 during training), plus commissions on membership and package sales
- Advancement to Sales Team Leader at $18.00/hour plus expanded incentive participation
- Access to Pause services at no cost or deeply discounted
- Opportunities for career growth and development
- Fun, supportive team environment in a beautiful wellness space
Performance Metrics

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Capability to lift and carry products and supplies (up to 25 lbs)
- Comfortable working in a spa environment with varying temperatures
- Ability to move between front desk and studio areas throughout shift
Work Schedule
