Full Job Description

Must have knowledge of:

· Operations and project management

· Strong technology skills, preferably from work experience

· Excel, word, outlook, quick books, power point and database skills

· Accounting software that automates accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management processes

· P&L responsibility or prior experience managing accounting department functions

· Building income statements and balance sheets

Must have the ability to:

· Meet deadlines

· Attend to details and ensure accuracy

· Prioritize objectives in a fast paced environment and among stakeholders with individual demands

· Consistently deliver quality work product and customer service

· Learn the environment and proactively acquire resources needed to meet deliverables, and proactively reach out and set goals

· Maintain strict policies when handling sensitive and confidential information

· Multi-task, organize, and prioritize

· Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)

Financial Accounting Functions

· Process accounts payable for payment and document the process

· Process accounts receivable and receipts

· Process payroll for school employees

· Create and manage monthly journal entries

· Oversee and ensure the accurate implementation of the lunch program

· Initiate and maintain all work with outside accounting and auditing agencies

· Complete monthly analysis and preparation of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and statement of cash flows to support monthly review of the school’s financial performance and grant management

· Implement financial controls for accounts payable process, bank deposits

· Produce recurring and ad-hoc reporting for the school’s Board of Directors

· Serve as the primary point of contact for the auditors during the annual audit

Training and Experience

· An undergraduate degree with a concentration in Finance, Business Management, or Accounting is required. Former project management and facility management is a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
