About PFCTrials

Patients First Clinical Trials (PFCTrials) is a community-focused, patient-centric research site dedicated to connecting diverse patient populations with innovative clinical trials. Our mission is to advance patient care through ethical, high-quality research while fostering strong relationships with local practices and the community.

Position Summary

PFCTrials is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator who can manage complex protocols independently, and ensure excellence in both patient care and operational performance. This role conducts and manages multiple clinical trials from start up through study close out in accordance with the study protocol, GCP, and PFCTrial’s SOPs. Duties include overseeing day to-day clinical trial operations, including recruitment, study execution, regulatory compliance, and site management. This role requires a proven track record of managing multiple trials efficiently, strong organizational skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Trial Management

Independently manage all aspects of assigned trials from start-up to close-out.
Ensure strict adherence to study protocols, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain high-quality documentation in source records, eCRFs, and regulatory binders.
Prepare for and support monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.

Participant Engagement

Provide patient-centered care, building trust and rapport with diverse populations.
Obtain informed consent and clearly explain study procedures.
Implement strategies to maximize participant retention and adherence.

Site Operations & Compliance

Oversee daily site setup and prep for research visits.
Ensure the site is clean, organized, and supplies are available: restocking supplies, replacing towels, removing trash, and maintaining study materials.
Identify operational gaps and proactively implement improvements.

Data & Reporting

Enter and verify data in EDC/CTMS systems with high accuracy.
Track KPIs including screen-to-enroll ratios, retention, and visit completion.
Generate reports for internal review, sponsors, and CROs.

Leadership & Collaboration

Serve as a mentor to junior staff, interns, or new coordinators.
Collaborate with the Director of Research, sponsors, and CROs on operational and strategic initiatives.
Contribute to process improvements, staff training, and workflow optimization.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in Life Sciences

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator (or equivalent).
Phlebotomy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven experience managing multiple clinical trials independently.
In-depth knowledge of GCP, FDA regulations, HIPAA, and IRB processes.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Patient-focused with strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Proficient in EDC/CTMS systems and Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Medical healthcare-related experience.
Experience in multi-therapeutic clinical trial settings (e.g. cardiology, neurology, endocrinology/metabolic, dermatology, or vaccines.
Clinical research certifications (CCRP, ACRP, SoCRA).
Experience mentoring or supervising staff.
Skilled in KPI tracking, reporting, and data analytics.
Flexible schedule and ability to support variable patient visits.
Multilingual abilities for diverse patient recruitment.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Small, fast-paced open office environment with moderate noise levels. Use of phones and computers for extended periods of time. Utilize office equipment and communication technologies for conference calls and teleconference meetings/webinars. Requires general mobility to move through the facility. Ability to lift to 25 pounds. Prolonged sitting and computer use. Frequent interaction with staff and customers via phone, in person, email, and other mediums. Normal sitting and standing activities for an office environment.
