Our client-focused and rapidly expanding array of services includes behavioral health and substance use Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Substance Use Disorder Residential Treatment Center (RTC) services, Detoxification services, Aftercare/Alumni activities and services, Telehealth, and Family Education opportunities.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Director is a licensed professional responsible for overseeing and managing the clinical aspects of California Recovery Center’s behavioral health and substance use services. The role involves a combination of administrative and clinical responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The clinical director is responsible for ensuring that the clinical services provided by the organization meet the highest standards of quality care and comply with relevant laws and regulations. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of clinical programs and services.
Inspire employees to reach their highest potential while simultaneously holding each team member accountable for acceptable and professional performance and conduct.
Monitoring and improving the quality of clinical care is a key responsibility. This may involve reviewing clinical documentation, conducting case reviews, and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Allocate resources effectively to ensure that the organization can provide the necessary services while operating within budgetary parameters.
Developing and expanding behavioral health and substance use programs and services in response to community needs or changing patient demographics is often part of the role. This may involve conducting needs assessments and collaborating with other professionals and organizations.
Provide direct client care, especially during times of high demand.
Analyze clinical data and outcomes to identify trends and areas for improvement to make informed decisions and enhance the quality of care.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to behavioral health care.
Effectively manage crises or emergencies within the organization, such as patient safety incidents or staff issues.
Ensure the organization is prioritizing professional development throughout each level of service and discipline.

Education and Training Requirements:

Master's or doctoral degree in a human services or related field (Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling)
Relevant licensure or certification, such as LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD
10 years of experience in the behavioral health field, as well as 5 years of senior management experience
A strong understanding of relevant state or federal regulations and licensing requirements for behavioral health and substance use services is essential to ensure compliance
Effective communication and ability to convey complex clinical information in a clear and understandable manner
Committed to high ethical standards and adherence to the code of ethics of the relevant profession
Ability to lead a team, make strategic decisions, and manage resources effectively
Should be prepared to handle crises or emergencies that may arise within the organization or with clients

Pay Range: $120,000-$150,000 OTE.
