Job description

Pathways Recovery has been providing recovery services for individuals throughout the Northern California region for 15 years. We offer individualized addiction treatment programs including subacute residential detox, residential recovery treatment, and intensive outpatient treatment options, medication-assisted treatment with an integrative health approach in the substance use disorder care.

We are seeking an AMFT or LMFT Therapist with experience providing care to those who desire to overcome a chemical addiction. Our ladies usually present with dual diagnosis mental health and PTSD. We can provide supervision hours to an AMFT and a higher rate of pay will be offered to those with licensure.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 years recent, full time experience in providing therapy to those with substance abuse, mental health, and co-occurring disorders

Experience and compassion for individuals with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders.

Knowledge of resources, methods, and techniques for all stages of recovery.

Experience and training in trauma modalities such as EMDR and Trainspotting

Experience with assessing medical necessity and SUD disorder diagnoses

Comfortable collaborating across multiple departments to complete daily tasks

Experience collaborating with clinicians of varying levels of expertise

Experience in therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and families

Knowledge of legal confidentiality and ethical requirements

Ability to perform case management and administrative duties as required

Knowledge of community resources and ability to facilitate referrals

Valid California BBS license in one of the following categories:
Associate or trainee acceptable with supervision available
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
General knowledge of 12-Step Programs preferred

Responsibilities:

Complete Assessment, Treatment Plan, and crisis stabilization of clients
Conduct individual and family therapy
Demonstrate competence in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Treatment
Attend weekly staff meetings to collaborate on client needs, strengths, and progress
Concisely and thoroughly document daily clinical information
Demonstrate knowledge of substance use, recovery, wellness, community resources, support services, and referral systems
Demonstrate knowledge and experience applying principles of peer/family support
Partner with clients to identify goals and analyze progress toward said goals
Develop and execute a discharge and aftercare plan, ensuring continued support through relevant community resources
Actively utilize, reference, and follow agency policies, procedures and guidelines
Comply with all federal, state, and agency health and safety reporting requirements
