Job Description and Duties

Under close to moderate supervision of the Supervisor I, the Analyst I will establish a close working relationship with Tribal governments and gaming agencies; interpret and apply gambling statutes and regulations in accordance with the Tribal-State Gaming Compact and State Gambling Control Act; apply Division and Bureau policies and produce assigned written reports following established criteria for background investigations. The Analyst I in the Tribal Key Unit (TKU) requires analytical, multi-disciplinary skills which include knowledge of gaming activities and Tribal gaming sensitivities in California, investigative operations, effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and should possess personal discipline, organizational skills, and effective interpersonal skills.

This position is located in the Division of Law Enforcement, Bureau of Gambling Control, Licensing Tribal Key Unit in Sacramento.
