Content Marketing & Administrative Assistant

Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Full-time
Work Setting: In office

Bolt Fitness Supply is seeking a reliable, organized, and capable Creative Writer & Administrative Assistant to support our growing fitness-equipment business.

This position combines writing, SEO, social media, research, communications, and office administration. You will work closely with the marketing team and the owner to help turn unfinished tasks into completed work, keep communications and paperwork organized, and support marketing projects and communications across the company.

The right person will have a college degree in English, Communications, or a similar education . They will be a strong writer, have superior organizational and follow-up skills, and possess the initiative to complete tasks without supervision.

Responsibilities

Write SEO-focused blog posts related to fitness equipment, commercial gyms, strength training, and commercial gym products.
Create and improve product descriptions, category descriptions, FAQs, buying guides, comparison pages, and other website content.
Support website SEO through keyword research, page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, image alt text, and updates to existing pages.
Create social-media content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X.
Research and draft appropriate Reddit posts and comments that are useful, authentic, and aligned with company goals.
Draft, organize, and follow up on emails with customers, vendors, suppliers, partners, and other business contacts.
Assist with paperwork and office administration, including filing digital and physical documents, maintaining spreadsheets, organizing records, preparing forms, tracking invoices or paperwork, and keeping shared information accessible.
Keep task lists, deadlines, follow-ups, and recurring responsibilities organized.
Research competitors, products, pricing, suppliers, fitness-industry trends, and potential content opportunities.
Help create templates, checklists, and documented processes for recurring work.
Identify tasks that need attention and help ensure important details do not fall through the cracks.
Perform other administrative, marketing, and operational tasks as needed.
Ability to analyze the industry to gain insights to help position the company and the brand for future success.

Qualifications

Excellent English writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
Experience with blog writing, product descriptions, marketing content, SEO content, social-media posts, or professional email communication.
Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword research.
Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage documents, records, deadlines, and follow-ups.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, email, shared drives, and task-management tools.
Ability to learn new software and AI-assisted tools quickly.
Professional judgment and discretion when handling business information.
Dependable, punctual, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
Able to move between writing, research, communication, and administrative work while maintaining accuracy.
Experience with e-commerce, fitness equipment, strength training, Canva, social-media scheduling tools, or Reddit is a plus, but not required.
